DJJ Commissioner Avery Niles and Judge Steven Teske talk to the Georgia Public Policy Foundation about juvenile justice reform and the real world impact for Georgia.

 

Interview with Judge Teske on Federal Funding

The 2014 spending bill released this week by U.S. Senate and House negotiators eliminates federal Juvenile Accountability Block Grant Funding (JABG) which Georgia has used to help fund community-based diversion programs. Judge Steven Teske talked with the Foundation about the federal cut. Teske is a member of the Council on Criminal Justice Reform and also the Department of Juvenile Justice board of directors.
